My experience with BambuLab A1 and 3D printing

Introduction Hello everyone, 👋 This is my first post of 2024, and ever since I’ve started the blog in ~2018, I’ve had engineering Programming, Cloud and Engineering! 👨‍🔬; in the blog’s description. 😄 I made a few posts related to “engineering” other than Software Engineering. In 2018, I was still studying computer science and engineering at UPT, and I was fascinated by the Electrical Engineering courses. I figured that I’d write blog posts about circuit analysis techniques such as Ohm’s Law, Thévenin’s Theorem, Mesh Analysis, and so on....

Learning Kotlin

Introduction Hello everyone! 👋 The year of 2023 has come closely to an end, and I want to write a short article about my experience with Kotlin and what other programming languages I’ve tried this year. Outside work, I like experimenting with new programming languages and technologies. I don’t usually build side projects in the languages and frameworks that I use full time at work because I don’t find it fun....

Timisoara Nord – Night Photography

Hello 👋 I’m a software developer by profession but I also enjoy photography, this is my first blog post related to photography, here are some photos I took with the Canon R6 and the EF 15-35mm F4L lens in Timisoara train station. I’ve taken the photos underexposed at 1/60, 6400 ISO and F4. It was a cold and rainy night and I couldn’t focus well on taking photos because I was waiting for the train....

How to connect Ethernet devices to WiFi via WDS

Hi 👋, In this blog post I will show you how to connect an Ethernet only device to Wi-Fi using an extra router and the WDS functionality. I initially wanted to install the TP Link Archer T4U WiFi adapter driver on my Ubuntu 20.04 PC but unfortunately the driver is no longer supported. Since I really needed high internet speed for my PC, I decided to connect it via an Ethernet cable and buy another TP-Link router to use in WDS mode....

iPhone 6s Battery Replacement

Hi, 👋 I usually write about technical stuff and tutorials, but this article is more about repair and the right to repair. It’s important for companies to offer their customers the ability to repair devices that they bought. I’m not saying that they should make all parts and tools available, but they should at least try to offer some help for common repair operations, like storage change, broken screen change, battery change and so on....

Logitech MX Keys keyboard Review

Hi, I’m a software developer and to do my job I have to sit on the computer at least 8 hours daily. Having a decent, comfortable, and robust keyboard to do my job is a requirement. My previous keyboard was a Razer BlackWidow V3. I’ve used it as my daily driver for gaming and programming, but since I started recording videos the keyboard’s clicking sound was a problem and I had to replace it....

Computer Speakers 🔊

Hello, Yes, this post title is weird, but I want to take a moment to acknowledge that I’m very grateful for dad for buying these computer speakers and much more. In ~2002 my dad bought me my first computer, and at the same time a man approached us asking if we want to buy his second-hand speakers. I was about 5-6 years old at that time and I still remember the moment....

Learning Languages with Memrise

I purchased a lifetime of Memrise Pro today and I’m grateful that I could do that. Memrise is an mobile application that lets you access a variety of courses. It also has a website so you can use it from your internet browser too. I find it very effective when trying to learn a new language. Last year I’ve tried to learn Chinese, I completed the Chinese 1 course and although Chinese is very difficult I’ve learnt to present myself and tell people that I can’t really speak Chinese....
